i.LON 10 Ethernet AdapterThe i.LON 10 Ethernet Adapter connects LonWorks Networks to TCP/IP networks. The i.LON 10 Ethernet Adapter is designed to be the most cost-effective piece of customer premise equipment (CPE) available that provides full and complete access to any LonWorks device. The i.LON 10 Ethernet Adapter is designed for applications in which IP connectivity is required for remote monitoring, management and diagnosis of everyday devices such as load controls, lights and security systems in small comercial spaces and small buildings. The i.LON 10 operates as a Remote Network Interface in conjunction with LNS based network management and monitoring tools. The adapter enables property managers, and maintenance technicians to monitor and control networks of LonWorks based devices either locally or remotely. The i.LON 10 Ethernet Adapter is compatible with both LNS and OpenLDV; and supports the Free Topology (FT-10) channel. Remote TCP access is supported over 10 BaseT Ethernet or dial-up PPP with the use of an external modem. By allowing the millions of Internet-ready LonWorks devices already in use to be monitored, controlled, accessed, manipulated, and updated over the Internet, the i.LON 10 opens a new world of applications, markets, and business opportunities.
