Echelon's LNS network operating system is software that enables the connection of network tools, enterprise applications, people and systems with everyday LonWorks devices. LNS is built to support and comply with multiple industry standards such as ANSI/EIA 709.1 and LonMark® as well as numerous Internet standards. The use of LNS as an integrating platform for these standards enables software applications to interoperate whether on a Microsoft® Windows® platform—regardless of programming language—or Java™ technology platform. The LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo allows customers and end-users to identify the products that have been optimized for the next generation of LonWorks management, monitoring and control solutions.

The Opportunity

While Echelon is delivering the platform for building and deploying LNS enabled software solutions, partners are essential to providing the industry-specific and application-specific software that will interact with the LonWorks devices and the people and enterprises who own those devices.

Echelon is introducing the LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo to help Echelon’s partners, customers and independent developers identify their software as built on the industry leading LNS platform, as well as interoperable with other industry leading software solutions built on LNS.

By using the LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo under license from Echelon, you may:

Licensing the Logo

The LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo indicates an application whose primary functionality is built with services provided by the LNS network operating system. For eligible products, the Logo can be used in your software, on product artwork, and related marketing collateral. The LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo is owned by Echelon, and is licensed to eligible companies for their eligible products. If you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement available for download from the link below, Echelon will assist you with incorporating the LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo into your eligible products.

LNS Powered Tools Catalog

The LNS Powered Tools Catalog is a location where customers and end-users can find software that is qualified to use the LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo. Although Echelon may provide web links to help potential customers to contact the Logo licensees, Echelon disclaims any responsibility to provide this service or to answer any questions that may arise from this catalog service.

Upon qualifying for use of the Logo, your product will automatically be listed in the LNS Powered Tools Catalog.

Future Requirements

The requirements to use the LNS POWERED BY ECHELON Logo (in the Logo agreement available for download from the link below) will evolve over time, and compliance with the changing requirements will be required for continued use of the Logo.
