To Comply with Federal Regulation FD, Echelon is Providing Notice of Quarterly Earnings Conference Call

(SAN JOSE, CA – April 18, 2005) - Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON) will be holding its quarterly earnings conference call for investors and analysts on April 20th, 2005 at 2:00 pm PT. The earnings announcement itself is scheduled to cross the wire shortly after 1:00 pm PT. Echelon is sending out this release regarding Q1, 2005 only to comply with Federal Regulation FD.
