Echelon Selects Engenuity Systems, Inc. as it's U. S. Distributor for Open Systems Products for the Building Automation and Industrial Markets(Atlanta, GA - January 29, 2001) - During a press conference today at the AHR Expo, Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON) and Engenuity Systems, Inc. (Chandler, AZ) announced the two companies have signed an agreement for Engenuity Systems, Inc. to be a distributor of LonWorks® products for Open Systems in North America. Engenuity Systems, Inc., the largest distributor of LonWorks-based products in North America, will now offer Echelon's products intended for use by system integrators and end users in the building automation and industrial automation markets. Products covered by the agreement include interface cards, network management software and connectivity products, such as Echelon's LonMaker™ for Windows, LonPoint® modules and the i.Lon™ 1000 Internet Server among others. Engenuity Systems and Echelon will jointly promote Echelon's products to the rapidly expanding market using Echelon's LonWorks technology for open interoperable systems.
